Jet nozzles are ideal for applications where supply air from the diffuser needs to travel a long distance before reaching the occupied zone. They provide focused air distribution, helping deliver conditioned air efficiently across large spaces.

Jet nozzles are designed for applications where supply air from a diffuser needs to travel a long distance to reach the occupied zone. They are particularly suitable for large rooms such as halls and assembly rooms, where ceiling diffuser air distribution is not possible or practical.
In such applications, jet nozzles are installed along sidewall areas to support effective air distribution. When the temperature difference between the supply air and room air changes, the supply air stream can deflect upward with warm air or downward with cold air. Local convection effects and air draughts within the room can also influence the direction of the supply air stream.
Airconsair Jet Nozzles are designed for conditioned air distribution where ceiling diffusers are not suitable or practical. Long-throw jet nozzles provide effective air supply for large spaces such as connection centres, airport terminals, indoor stadiums, television and movie studios, and auditoriums. The nozzles can be installed within walls, bulkheads, or columns to optimize supply air distribution.
Airconsair Model JNZ supply nozzles are suitable for spaces requiring long-distance air penetration and low noise levels. Their nozzle-type outlets support spot cooling and heating, while the airflow direction can be easily adjusted according to requirements.
Jet nozzles can be adjusted through ±30° from the centreline axis and rotated through 360°. This provides universal directional airflow throw and flexible air distribution.
First, determine the total supply air quantity required for the air-conditioned space based on its heat load.
Next, determine the required number and placement of jet nozzles according to the desired air distribution pattern and any constraints related to the building design.
After determining the required throw distance—8 m, 16 m, or 25 m—select the appropriate jet nozzle from the tables below. The terminal air velocity at the end of the throw is provided in the final column.
Low terminal air velocities are generally preferred for auditoriums, television studios, and movie studios. In contrast, medium to high air velocities can be tolerated in airports and exhibition centres, where occupants are typically moving around.
